                        With the recent upsurge of Online Shopping websites in India, we surely are in a happy space with a vast variety to choose from and I just love exploring new online shopping destinations followed by some peaceful shopping at the comfort of my home and one such Online shopping website from which I shop every now and then is Jabong.com. Jabong.com offers a wide variety across different sections namely Apparels, Footwear, Jewellery & Bags to name a few and that took me to shop again with them.

This time I ordered a MUA Plumping Lipgloss in the shade "Sienna". I ordered this on Feb 11 and received it on Feb 13 (quite fast I must say). The site is clutter free and does not confuse a customer while buying and that makes it truly a worth checkout for you guys if you haven't still. 

My order came in Plastic bag packaging with the Brand name printed on it in addition to the wide variety they cater you with printed on the package. The plastic bag came sealed with a good quality of Bubble wraps glued inside the bag to prevent the product from getting Jerked during transportation.

My December Vellvette Box

Reviewed : Schwarzkopf TAFT Hair Lacquer

              Today on Beauty Velvette, I am reviewing Schwarzkopf All Weather TAFT Hair Lacquer.

• The special All weather taft formula protects your hair against wind and humidity and helps protect against UV rays.
• For Volume, spray directly towards the roots.

This Hair Lacquer comes in a cylindrical aluminium Can with an attractive Red clothing and a spray on nozzle. Is light weight and easy to use.

My Experience with the product :

Schwarzkopf All Weather Taft Hair Lacquer claims many things but doesn't lives up to most of them. My hair is Dry and Limp and I bought this product thinking that it'll sprinkle those shining crystals on my Hair making them appear attractive but it came out to be a dud. I couldn't see an iota of shine in my hair after spraying it and to make the case worse, it made my hair all the more drier to touch and feel. However, it didn't weight down my hair, didn't make my hair feel sticky or left any residue behind. The product also claims to provide 24 Hr strong hold to your styled hair but it doesn't give more than 4-5 Hr hold. Another feature of this product is that it also provides Volume to the hair and it fares a l'il better in this claim as it does gives a decent volume to the hair when sprayed on the roots. The Quantity ( 250 ml ) of the product is quite a lot against the price tag of Rs 250/- and due to this the Quality of the product has suffered. I am totally disappointed with this Lacquer and do not recommend it.

Reviewed: IRAYA Green Apple Lip Balm

                      Just in time when our lips started falling prey to the chilly winds and turning Flaky, Dry and Bleed-y in serious cases, I'll be sharing my experience with Iraya Green Apple Lip Balm. Lip balms are the real life lips saviors in Winters when our lips vouch for moisture and nourishment and therefore stalking up our favorite lip balms in this season becomes one of our top priorities.

Packaging Says : Blend of fresh, Tangy Green Apples with Nourishing natural oils & butters. Ideal for protecting lips from Dryness or getting chapped.

Iraya Green Apple Lip Balm comes in cute li'l transparent Glass jar which is neither too heavy nor light with a screw on lid opening. This particular Lip Balm falls under Iraya's Botanicals range which includes Body, Face & Hair care products as well. The lip balm comes in two other varients namely Orange & Citrus and Vanilla & Whole Milk and can be bought from their Online store here. 

My Experience with the Product : 

Iraya Green Apple Lip Balm is a nice sheer balm with a wax-y texture and mesmerizing fragrance of  raw apples and gives a whiff of Bees Wax as well when you concentrate on the fragrance. The staying power is average as One swipe of this Balm lasts for about an hour without eating or drinking anything with a sheer coverage and that's why atleast two swipes are needed for a good coverage and a better protection against flaky-ness and dryness. Can't say anything about it claims of keeping chapped lips at bay as I do not suffer from this condition. I feel the requirement of re-applying it after every an hour and a half or so and hence I feel that the balm should also come in easy to carry tubes because it is not practical to carry the glass jar with you all the time. It does make my lips feel moisturized, nourished and craving for more. The quantity of the product ( 20 gm ) is great against the price tag of Rs 245/- and will last  for atleast 4-5 months. The only thing I found concerning is the whiff of the Bees wax it carries along with the fragrance of the raw apples whenever I open the jar but it doesn't release that smell once the balm is applied on the lips.

My take on what the packaging says :

Blend of fresh, Tangy Green Apples with Nourishing natural oils & butters. 

Ideal for protecting lips from Dryness or getting chapped.

It definitely nourished my dry lips and protected them from drying further.

The Verdict :

Iraya Green Apple Lip Balm is sheer and colourless balm with tangy aroma of raw apples. Keeps the lips moisturized and protected from dryness and because the quantity is really good, it'll last for quite a few months. If you love nice moisturizing and fragranced lip balms, give this one a try.  :)

Reviewed : Avon Solutions Youth Minerals Energising Day Cream

              Today I am reviewing a Day Cream from Avon.

Packaging says : Get a Youthful radiant glow all day long. Formulated with nutrient rich energizing Amethyst Mineral Complex, this protective moisturizer leaves skin looking healthier and more youthful with visibly diminished appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Skin feels revitalized and radiates a youthful looking vibrancy. Formulated with SPF 20 to help protect against damaging UV rays. Dermatologist tested. Hypoallergenic. Non comeodogenic. Broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection. SPF 20, PA++.

Avon Solutions Youth Minerals Energizing Cream SPF 20 comes in a heavy glass jar with a screw on lid and an added transparent plastic lid inside so that the top lid doesn't get messy. I feel that the jar is a li'l risky to carry while using because of the Glass material it is made up of and it's tiny round size but I like the overall feel of the jar.

My Experience with the Product :

Creams hardly suits my sensitive/dry skin but Avon Solutions Youth Minerals is an exception. This Day cream is very mildly fragranced and is really light and soft in texture that it gets absorbed in the skin beautifully without leaving any greasiness behind with SPF 20 as an added advantage because it's a Day cream afterall and it does give pretty decent protection against the damaging UV rays as my skin doesn't go  full red when I am outdoors in the sun. It does not irritate my sensitive skin type and gives me a radiant glow all day long.

My take on what the packaging says :

• Get a Youthful radiant glow all day long : Yes it does what it says.
• This protective moisturizer leaves skin looking healthier and more youthful with visibly diminished appearance of fine lines and wrinkles : A great moisturizer  which does makes the skin vibrant. Don't know about it's claims of reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as I do not suffer from any of these.
• Formulated with SPF 20 to help protect against damaging UV rays : It  fares well in this claim.

The Verdict :

Avon Solution Youth Minerals Energizing Cream with SPF 20 is a good moisturizing day cream with an SPF protection that gives you a fresh hydrated look without feeling heavy on the skin.  50 gms is a decent quantity against the price tag of Rs 499/- .

I'll give it a 4/5.

Presenting "Vellvette Box"

                       Firstly I would like to welcome you all to Beauty Velvette a review based blog on all things pretty and beautiful. Hope you'll like it here :) Now coming over to the much talked about and loved Vellvette box which is cute li'l box containing 3-4 luxury beauty samples alongwith their Discription cards and some Discount Coupons incase you wanna buy the full sized products against the samples you got in your box. I ordered mine the previous month after getting tempt seeing all the beautiful boxes of the fellow bloggers. I bought a 3 months subscription because subscriptions for a single month were sold out already when I logged in to buy the box :)

The box came to me last Monday and I am really impressed with the products I got in my box, perfectly to my taste and preferences and I was completely mesmerized by the awesome aroma that the box carries inside it . In my Box I got :
